The exhibition includes 150 authentic objects from the tomb of Tutankhamun and is the only exhibition to feature authentic objects from Tutankhamun’s tomb.
The tour is self-guided so within The Saunders Castle opening times, you may spend as much time as you like enjoying the exhibition. The average length of stay is between 60 and 90 minutes. Please note that the exhibition closes 90 minutes after final entry.
Yes! The wonders of ancient Egypt are compelling to all ages and the exhibition will appeal to children of all ages. We strongly recommend that you do not bring strollers to the show as they cannot be taken into the exhibition space.
Photography is permitted within the exhibition, however not with a flash, due to the sensitive nature of the artifacts.
Please be considerate to other visitors when taking photos.
The exhibition will ultimately travel to additional markets around the world before Tutankhamun’s objects go on permanent display at the new Grand Egyptian Museum in Cairo, Egypt.
Only guide dogs are permitted.
The Funerary Mask is at its home at the Egyptian Museum in Cairo and will eventually go on view with the entire Tutankhamun collection at the forthcoming Grand Egyptian Museum. It is a very popular object that travelled in the 1970s and many people have fond memories of it. Because it is such an iconic world treasure, the Egyptian government has decided it will never travel again so that it can remain for posterity.
The artifact you see in advertising for this exhibition is the Canopic Coffinette of Tutankhamun – a small vessel which was used to hold the internal organs. It is one of the 150 original artifacts which will be on display as part of the exhibition at The Saunders Castle at Park Plaza from June 12th 2020.
The Senior ticket is available to all patrons ages 65+.
For your security, no large items of luggage can be brought into or stored at The Saunders Castle at Park Plaza.
Wheeled suitcases are not permitted regardless of their size and weight.
Scooters, folding bicycles, skateboards or musical instruments are not permitted.
Luggage storage is available at major train stations.
All items and persons entering The Saunders Castle at Park Plaza will be subject to a search as part of our conditions of entry.
Coats and small bags can be left at the cloakroom for a fee. Pushchairs are not allowed in the exhibition space but can be left at your own risk in the foyer area during your visit, please note this is subject to space availability.
Storage space at the The Saunders Castle at Park Plaza is very limited, therefore we encourage visitors to avoid bringing bags and/or pushchairs where possible.
Please note that when maximum cloakroom capacity is reached the venue cannot accept any more items. All items deposited in the cloakroom must be collected before leaving the venue, there is no overnight storage. All items in the cloakroom are left at owner’s risk.

Yes, audio guides are available in English, Spanish, Mandarin and French. They can be purchased both on the door and when booking tickets.
Please note, headphones are not provided. Visitors who prefer to use headphones are advised to bring their own. The audio guides are compatible with standard headphones.
Yes, there is a box office on site. However, advanced booking is recommended as some sessions may sell out.
IMPORTANT – we operate a timed entry system. Please arrive within the entry times displayed on your ticket e.g. between 09:00 – 09:30. Due to the popularity of the exhibition it may take up to 30 minutes to pass through security and enter the exhibition. Please do not arrive early as this will extend your waiting time.

All the objects in the show are from King Tut’s tomb which dates back to the 18th dynasty (over 3300 years ago).
The Saunders Castle at Park Plaza is located at the intersection of Columbus Avenue and Arlington Street.
Convenient valet parking is available with drop off on Arlington Street near the intersection of Arlington Street and Piedmont Street.
